Dog behaviourist
in surrey, west sussex & Kent
Are you worried about your dog's behaviour? Are they finding life difficult? Do they seem fearful or struggle to cope in new situations? Maybe the outside world feels overwhelming for them. Perhaps they chew things they shouldn't, toilet indoors, bark excessively or dig up the garden. Some dogs exhibit aggressive behaviours around people or other dogs, find travelling in the car stressful, or become distressed by loud noises such as fireworks – you are not alone.
I work alongside you to uncover what’s causing these behaviours and guide you through practical steps to help your dog feel safer, calmer, and more confident.

Why choose me?
Supporting a dog who is displaying unwanted behaviours can feel overwhelming. I work closely with you to identify the underlying causes,
guide you through practical steps, and develop personalised plans that help you make real, lasting progress.
A dog’s behaviour can be shaped by many factors—their environment, daily routine, emotional wellbeing, and physical health. Everything is interconnected.
I take a holistic approach, considering all of these elements and more when working with dogs experiencing behavioural challenges.
Some behaviour packages include Dynamic Dog Assessment, which uses a thorough, hands-free functional evaluation to identify possible sources of discomfort in dogs. Such discomfort may cause or contribute to a range of behavioural problems.
As a Registered Clinical Animal Behaviourist with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC), and a full member of both The Canine Behaviour & Training Society (TCBTS) and The Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), I have been formally assessed for my academic knowledge and practical expertise. I work in accordance with strict professional codes of conduct. I am qualified to Level 6 in Animal Behaviour Management.
With over 20 years of experience, I have supported
a wide range of dogs across many breeds, and
I am fully insured.
I offer in‑person behaviour support for local
clients and remote consultations for clients throughout the UK.

Vet referral
As an ABTC accredited Clinical Animal Behaviourist, I am only able to accept cases involving dogs with behavioural problems once a referral has been made by the animal’s veterinary surgeon. This is essential because behavioural issues may sometimes be linked to, or caused by, underlying health concerns, medical conditions—past or present—or pain. The referral process also helps to establish a multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive support for your dog.
Vet referral is a simple process. Your vet can complete the online form or you can download a pdf version.
Client testimonials
"Amazing behavourist who promotes kindness and respect to dogs"
"Lisa is amazing! My young dog suffers with anxiety, resource guarding, touch sensitivity and is sometimes reactive. From the first session, Lisa's advice and
knowledge has empowered me to make positive and very noticeable changes. Lisa is on my wavelength, in that she wholeheartedly believes in positive
interaction and training. She promotes treating dogs with respect and kindness at all times. She is compassionate and understanding. Lisa was able to offer
us a Dynamic Dog report which has been so helpful when working with our vet. We have since been referred to an Osteo specialist. I feel that I am finding
solutions with Lisa's guidance and seeing such positive changes. I cannot recommend Lisa Highly enough."
Tracy
"Can highly recommend"
"We approached Lisa through a recommendation when we were having some problems with reactivity with our 2 year old pointer. Lisa provided us with
some really solid advice and tips to help deal with the problem backed up with evidence based theory to help us understand his behaviour. She made herself
available between meetings to ask questions/send videos/photos for additional support. Can highly recommend."
Joanna
"We would definitely recommend Lisa"
"Lisa was extremely helpful when we needed some advice on our dog who suddenly had anxiety issues. She gave us some exercises, tips and steps
to take to rebuild his confidence and bring back the happy dog we remembered. We would definitely recommend Lisa to anyone needing help,
advice and support for their mutt or the owner!"
Jenny
"Her advice has built my confidence as a dog owner"
"I first got in contact with Lisa for my first dog Katie, who I had taken on as an 11 year old. After the “settling in” period, I needed some guidance as Katie was desperately trying to push and test the boundaries. With Lisa’s patience and knowledge I was able to teach Katie some “thinking” games to get her brain working and in fact Katie learnt to sit on command at the age of 11. After I lost Katie last year (when she was nearly 15), I took on a Jack Russell from a re-homing centre. Josie had been picked up by a dog warden, so there was little history, however she had clearly had multiple litters and had been physically harmed. She was not house-trained, however she picked that up soon and settled extremely quickly. However, one day she suddenly seemed to regress, withdrawing into herself and taking herself off to keep her own company. Lisa helped me to build up Josie’s confidence so that she is able to deal with any new situations that she comes across. Josie’s character has really developed and she can be quite a pickle at times! Lisa is very happy to work around a particular dog’s (and owner’s!) needs. Her use of t-touch has had an amazing effect with Josie and her advice has built my confidence as a dog owner"
